PASS Pallitathya Kendra organised a two-day long information fair at Rajarhat, Kurigram 

PASS Pallitathya Kendra organised a two-day long (7-8 February, 2009) information fair at Rajarhat union in Kurigram district. Seven booths were installed for the rural people with and aim to provide information and direct consultation facilities related to their livelihood. Agriculture, fisheries, poultry and livestocks, health, law and educational experts were present in the booths to provide the consultation services. Around 400 rural people directly received information and services from the information fair. The fair was got tremendous attention as bridging event between the rural people and local service providing institutions (GOs and NGOs). Local BRAC office and SOLIDARITY also participated there in reaching their services to the community people. Finally the presentation of audio-visual content on agriculture, awareness and education was an attractive session held at the evening. More than 1500 rural people received livelihood information through issue based cultural event and audio-visual presentation.

Mr. Md. Ruhul Amin Khan, UNO was present as chief guest and Mr. Md. Jahir Uddin Ahmed, UP Chairman was the special guest in the first day session of the information fair. In the second day, Mr. Abu Nur Mohammad Aktaruzzaman, Upazila Chairman attended as chief guest and Mr. Khandoker Nurrunabi Babla, Information Officer was special guest in the fair. Mr. Sk. Masudur Rahman, Senior Programme Officer, D.Net; local journalist and distinguished guests were also present to make the fair successful. Mr. K.M. Ali Samrat, Executive Director, PASS hosted the information fair in the community.
