Pallitathya

On7th October 2006, a legal camp was organized at Pallitathya Kendra,Charbata, Suborbachar, Noakhali. Total 78 persons were attended at thelegal camp. Legal camp started with the orientation of digital legal bangla content to the local people. UP member, Farmers, businessman,teachers, housewives, students were present at the legal camp After orientation, legal advice were provided to the local people. 31 persons came to receive legal advice and legal aid. Four lawyers( two from BLAST and two from NLAO) were attended to provide legal advice to the local people. Lawyers provided free legal advice to the local people who have registered their name before the camp. Legal advice continued from 11 a.m- 2:30 p.m. After lunch break a co-ordination workshop was organized with the local service providing agencies of BLAST, NLAO and UP Chairman & members to create access to the rural people to get legal aid from them according to their demand. All UP Chairman and women members of Noakhali district were invited but most of them were unable to attend for TA/DA. One female member, one marriage registrarand two school teachers of Charbata Union were present at the co-ordination meeting. Local people demand this service frequently and other unions as well.
