Workshop on Jeeon-Thikana database development  

D.Net is developing local service providers’ database “Jeeon-Thikana” under Abolombon II project with the support of Manusher Jonno Foundation. MCC (Multimedia Content and Communication), an independent project of D.Net is conducting the survey in the different district of Bangladesh in collaboration with Abolombon II project. A workshop was conducted in Rangpur on August 19, 2008 for sharing the survey strategy with 20 field researchers in the northern district. Collected directory related information is available online www.jeeon.com/thikana. People easily can locate relevant service provider’s address, service details and service price using the online database. D.Net and MCC team were present to facilitate the workshop. Mr. K.M. Ali Samrat, Executive Director of Participatory Advancement Social Service (PASS) also attended in the workshop as special guest.
